Everyone, Everywhere, Everyday was a campaign launched on February 14, 2009. The goal of this two-year campaign is to raise $1,000,000 for AIDS Calgary programs and services. The EEE campaign encompasses all of AIDS Calgary’s fundraising activities from third-party events to major giving to our annual AIDS Walk. The campaign is a means to harmonize and communicate our case for support.
With economic uncertainty continuing to loom, AIDS Calgary Awareness Association is grateful to our donors and volunteers that remain dedicated to our mission. One indicator that speaks to our donor strength is the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life. From 2007 to 2009 the Walk increased its funds raised from $110,000 to $168,000.
Individual donors have made significant contributions to the success of the EEE campaign. Michel Bourque, EEE campaign chair, has donated $50,000 to date and pledged another $50,000 over the next three years. Twisted Element owners RJ Fafard and Cliff Andrews donated $25,000 in 2009 and pledged a further $25,000. Twisted Element has also partnered with us to communicate our mission to the GLBTA community. We can not thank these individuals enough for their leadership and dedication to our work.
There are so many volunteers that produce third-party fundraising events on behalf of AIDS Calgary that it is difficult to acknowledge them all. We would like to thank the Artist for Quality of Life, The Ship and Anchor, Live Laugh Love, and Beneath the Cause for their continued efforts to raise funds and community awareness of HIV/AIDS.
We are entering our final year of the Everyone Everywhere Everyday campaign. To date we have raised 30% of our goal and we need your continued dedication and support to help us reach our goal of $1,000,000.
You can get involved by making a donation or get in touch with Tracie Seeley (403-508-2500, tseeley@aidscalgary.org) to find out how to create your own third-party fundraiser.
